Job Description This position will implement major capital and expense projects for the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station. This includes reviewing identified projects, challenging the assumptions associated with those projects, driving innovative solutions, developing project implementation plans and driving the execution of those plans. Responsibilities for Project Manager Determine and define project scope and objectives Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements Track project costs in order to meet budget Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement Maintain an Emergency Plan position Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree 5-8 years of project management and related experience Proven ability to solve problems creatively Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices Experience with Primavera scheduling software Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle Excellent analytical skills Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline Manages Complex projects that have high degrees of Enterprise risk and/or are >$5million dollars in capital spending Technical knowledge sufficient in guiding the team through root cause analysis, problem statement development and development of potential solutions. Can analyze project options and developing economic cost analysis to aid in selection of most prudent resolution. Team building and conflict resolution attributes are necessary to pull together and utilize the personnel on a team effective and efficiently. Preferred Qualifications A current or previously held Senior Reactor Operator Certification/License is also acceptable in lieu of a B.S. degree. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred Note:
