Director or Senior Director, Reliability Engineering

Job Summary Provides strategic leadership for a team of professionals for the overall improvement and sustainment of top quartile equipment reliability at SSES as measured by INPO performance indicators and plant reliability. Primary Responsibilities Leads Station efforts in the field of Plant/Equipment Reliability. Establish and maintain best in class reliability strategy and work with Site Vice-President, Engineering GM and other SSES Senior Leadership to identify and address performance deficiencies. Develop and maintain station and department equipment reliability business plans. Establish and maintain station life cycle management plan. Participates with other senior leaders in development of long-range planning involving large fiscal expenditures. Work effectively with Maintenance, Operations, Work Management, Supply Chain, and other Engineering managers in setting priorities and allocating resources to minimize plant and system' out of service, maximizing plant power generation and plant reliability. Lead Station focus in key areas including:
Equipment classification, performance monitoring, predictive maintenance, and preventative maintenance. Single point vulnerability mitigation, elimination planning, and resolution of important equipment issues. Aging, obsolescence, life cycle management, and critical spares. Equipment failure analysis and trending, and equipment performance indicators. Work management effectiveness for equipment reliability. Ensures immediate engineering solutions to emergent equipment issues in the plant Oversee program components for all priority/level 3 systems. Review engineering work assignments to ensure the staff is responding appropriately to department and organizational needs. Represents the Engineering department at meetings to discuss and resolve matters effecting nuclear plant safety, industrial safety, radiological safety, and environmental conditions. Develop and provide interpretations of engineering regulations, policies and industry standards and recommendations of these matters. Interface with regulatory and industry representatives on behalf of station activities. Represents the Site VP and the GM of Engineering as necessary. This position has FSAR requirements Other Basic Qualifications Three (3) plus years of management level experience in nuclear plant operations. Preferred Qualifications Commercial utilities experience and Professional Engineer license desirable. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees at various levels of the organization, including vendors. Previously or currently holds Manager - Engineering position. Prior experience in Work Management/Maintenance and Licensing also desirable. Note:

Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
DevOps & Site ReliabilityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
